Badger Hospice LLC, is seeking a Hospice Care Consultant to add to our growing team of professionals. We make a difference every day to patients and families coping with end of life illness in creating a center of excellence in hospice care. The Hospice Care Consultant will develop early and appropriate referrals from healthcare professionals in hospitals, home health agencies, nursing homes, long term care facilities and physicians in private practice while insuring that the mission and vision of our company are understood and carried out consistently.
Additionally, the Hospice Care Consultant serves an as educational resource guide to the community regarding hospice care. Applicants must have a proven track record of success and are self-motivated to succeed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing or related field or 3 years previous healthcare experience in hospice, home health, healthcare sales or marketing. Current relationships with health care facilities or medical professionals in the area. A proven track record of success.
Possesses consultative marketing skills. Knowledge of community resources; understanding of hospice; ability to apply knowledge of the special needs of hospice patient and families; knowledge of roles of all disciplines providing hospice services; knowledge of community resources; excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent organization and record keeping skills.
Demonstrates a commitment to Badger Hospice’s LLC. philosophy of care, values, mission statement and organizational culture.
A willingness to learn Medicare regulations and related reimbursement issues for hospice and long-term
Current automobile insurance and valid driver’s license
Proficiency/Knowledge of Windows, Excel and Word. Demonstrates willingness to work as a team player within the department and with the clinical and operational teams.
Sensitivity to feelings of the terminally ill and their families before and after patient’s death. Must be able to demonstrate flexibility by performing a variety of tasks, often changing from one to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
Communicate effectively with people of all socioeconomic backgrounds. Responsible functioning in the work place, maturity, cooperation and flexibility in dealing with co-workers and all members of the hospice team.
